End of Summer Term

Oh! I'ts just so hard to say good-bye to some students. Yesterday was my last day of this summer psych 101 class at ACC. They were exceptionally fun for 3 hours a day 2x a week. Although there were a few older guys ( an ex-drug addict who is starting over again at 38!) who tried to monopolize the class and competed to speak and bark humourous responses, for the most part they really got involved and discussed all the ideas I threw out at them. Then a rather quiet young man came up to me at the end and said, "This is one of the best classes I've taken. You make it so practical and it applies to our lives" He's on scholarship as a kicker for the CU Buffs! I think I'm one of the most blessed people in the world to get to teach psychology outside of Utah where I can mention God and spirituality and how meaningful religion makes people happy.
