Marine Donald Barrand

I just received some px from Don's Bio mom, so I thought I'd post them. As many of you know, Don is in Marine Boot camp. He gets to play with guns and grenade launchers. To Don, it's like a large scout outing. He loves it. During the first part of Boot Camp, he attended church regularly and quit smoking. He came home looking all buff, having lost 16 pounds and bore his testimony in Sacrament meeting. My heart kind of stopped when he stood up and looked so sharp in his marine duds. He and Austin wrestled on his 7 day leave and it was wonderful to see him. Now he won't be home again until April. He is allowed to smoke now but he says he says his bunkmate from Colorado won't let him (hope, hope). And the Bigger hope is that he survives the Iranian or Iraqian or Afganistan food, climate and bullets.
